02 / SELECTED WORK
A multi-system manufacturing implementation in San Luis Potosí, Mexico — spanning ERP, automotive JIS/JIT workflows, enterprise integrations, custom quality software, shop-floor visualization, onsite testing, training and phased production rollout.
THE CHALLENGE
I took over the implementation in February 2018 after the project was already underway. Requirements were still evolving, major deliverables needed clearer definition and multiple technical workstreams were competing for attention under significant schedule pressure.
My responsibility was to bring structure to the ambiguity: establish requirements, formalize change, coordinate technical teams and give stakeholders a clear path from business need to executable delivery.
MY ROLE
Beginning with my first onsite engagement in March 2018, I worked directly with Minghua leadership, production teams, consultants, solution architects and developers throughout the implementation.
I personally authored and managed formal change orders, facilitated requirements gathering, created workflows and functional documentation, coordinated development progress, organized technical meetings, documented decisions and reported directly to customer stakeholders.
THE ENVIRONMENT
The implementation connected a newly developing Mexican manufacturing operation with technology, processes and stakeholders spanning Mexico and China while satisfying demanding automotive customer requirements.
The delivery environment included Minghua operations, DISC and IQMS personnel, U9 representatives, consultants, developers, production teams, quality personnel and BMW-driven manufacturing requirements.
THE TECHNICAL WORK
Much of the technical work began as a business expectation rather than a build-ready requirement. I helped transform those expectations into documented workflows, functional requirements, development scope and stakeholder-approved change.
The implementation landscape included Web API methods, SQL Server and Oracle queries, automotive DELJIT / DELJIS / ASN processes, XML-based electronic invoicing and multiple interfaces between IQMS EnterpriseIQ and U9.
For the U9 workstream, I coordinated scope definition with consultants, architects and stakeholders as the project expanded into nine separate ERP interfaces delivered in phases.
IMPLEMENTATION LANDSCAPE
A conceptual view of the major workstreams involved in the implementation.
FEATURE SPOTLIGHT / QDA
The Quality Defect Application gave production personnel a graphical way to identify where a defect occurred on a manufactured component and record the appropriate defect classification.
Operators could identify the affected area directly on an image of the part, select the defect category and drive the corresponding quality disposition and traceability workflow.
CONTROLLED CHANGE
As manufacturing requirements evolved, the QDA application expanded beyond its original scope. New requirements included traceable labeling, automatic printing in Injection and Paint, support for defects spanning multiple areas of a component and flexible printer routing.
I authored and coordinated the formal change-order process used to define the new work, establish development effort, communicate project impact and move approved requirements into implementation.
SHOP-FLOOR VISIBILITY
A separate Visualization workstream brought graphical operational information directly onto flat-panel displays throughout the manufacturing floor.
The solution included 26 display pages designed around production and quality information such as scrap-versus-good ratios, machine status, downtime and quality alerts.
DELIVERY
Delivery required far more than documentation and status meetings. I spent significant time onsite working directly with developers, consultants, managers and frontline manufacturing personnel.
I participated in testing against live production conditions, supported training and user adoption and was physically onsite when the QDA solution moved into production while manufactured parts were actively flowing through the operation.
Other components, including the U9 integration, were introduced through subsequent phases rather than through a single all-at-once cutover.
OUTCOME
What began as an implementation with significant ambiguity became a structured, multi-workstream delivery spanning manufacturing ERP, enterprise integration, automotive messaging, custom quality software, shop-floor visibility, training and operational adoption.
CASE STUDY 02 / DELIVERY AT SCALE
Leading multiple concurrent SaaS implementations across customers, markets, technical teams and third-party systems — while maintaining control of scope, dependencies, risk, communication and delivery.
CONCURRENT PROJECTS AT PEAK

DISTRIBUTED TECHNICAL TEAMS
MULTI-MARKET IMPLEMENTATIONS
THE OPERATING MODEL
In my current implementation role, I routinely manage multiple customer implementations in parallel and have carried portfolios reaching 10 or more concurrent projects, each with its own requirements, integrations, dependencies, risks and stakeholder groups.
The challenge is not simply keeping projects moving. It is maintaining enough structure across the portfolio to identify risk early, translate business needs into technical work and keep dozens of customer, operational and technical stakeholders aligned.
DELIVERY NETWORK
TECHNICAL BREADTH
My role sits between customer objectives and technical execution. I translate business requirements into actionable workstreams and coordinate the teams responsible for building, integrating, migrating and validating the solution.
DATA MIGRATION
Many implementations begin with an existing platform. Customer records, orders, payment information, credentials and other operational data must be extracted, mapped, transformed, validated and imported into the new environment.
I work directly with data and development teams to clarify requirements, validate mappings, identify discrepancies and ensure the migrated information supports the customer's actual operating model.
THE CONTROL LAYER
Milestones, dependencies and sequencing.
Business needs translated into technical work.
Issues surfaced before they become delivery failures.
Customer, product, technical and operational alignment.
Testing, data review and implementation readiness.
Execution through launch and stabilization.
THE PATTERN
The value I bring is not tied to one technology or one implementation. It is the ability to repeatedly turn complicated business and technical environments into organized, executable delivery.
TECHNICAL WORK / UNDER THE HOOD
My role has consistently required enough technical depth to work directly with developers, integration teams and data specialists — translating business requirements into executable technical work and validating that the result actually solves the problem.
APIs & INTEGRATIONS
I regularly work across third-party integrations, API-driven workflows and multi-system implementations, helping define what information needs to move, when it moves and what successful communication looks like.
SQL & DATA
I've worked with SQL-driven systems throughout my implementation career, including query modification, data validation, migration analysis and troubleshooting where understanding the underlying records is essential to solving the business problem.
TECHNICAL TRANSLATION
I operate between business stakeholders and technical teams — clarifying requirements, documenting expected behavior, identifying dependencies and helping ensure developers receive enough precision to build the right solution.
HOW I WORK
03 / EXPERIENCE
My career has evolved across support, implementation, consulting, enterprise delivery, SaaS and now AI-enabled workflows — but the common thread has remained the same: making complex technology useful to real people and businesses.
Built a broad technical foundation working with business systems, users, infrastructure and operational technology — learning how organizations actually depend on technology day to day.
Moved deeper into customer-facing implementation, business analysis and project leadership — translating operational requirements into systems, processes and technical work that teams could execute.
Led a complex manufacturing implementation spanning ERP, integrations, custom software, production systems, change control, onsite testing and phased go-live.

EXPLORE AI →04 / THE NEXT INTERFACE
After more than two decades working across technology, implementation, systems, data and delivery, AI has become another layer in how I solve problems — not a substitute for judgment, but a force multiplier for it.
AI-ENABLED DELIVERY
I use modern AI tools throughout the delivery lifecycle to accelerate analysis, improve documentation, investigate technical problems and move from ambiguity to action faster.
Turning meeting notes, business conversations and incomplete requests into structured requirements, open questions, dependencies and executable next steps.
Using AI alongside existing technical knowledge to reason through APIs, SQL, payloads, data behavior, system interactions and implementation problems.
Accelerating specifications, meeting summaries, technical tickets, process documentation and stakeholder communication without sacrificing context.
Applying AI directly to practical work — from technical exploration and coding assistance to prototyping new workflows and digital experiences.
CURRENT TOOLKIT
Analysis, research, problem solving and delivery support.
Technical analysis, documentation and complex reasoning.
AI-assisted development and technical workflow execution.
Embedding AI into real implementation and project workflows.
THE ADVANTAGE
AI is most powerful when the person using it already understands the business problem, the technical environment and the consequences of getting the answer wrong. That is where experience compounds.
